In February 2010, Clinton spoke at Abedin’s college, where she was first introduced by Abedin and then praised the work of the terror-tied professor:
“I have to say a special word about Dr. Saleha Abedin,” Clinton said. “You heard her present the very exciting partnerships that have been pioneered between colleges and universities in the United States and this college. And it is pioneering work to create these kinds of relationships.
“But I have to confess something that Dr. Abedin did not,” Clinton continued, “and that is that I have almost a familial bond with this college. Dr. Abedin’s daughter, one of her three daughters, is my deputy chief of staff, Huma Abedin, who started to work for me when she was a student at George Washington University in Washington, D.C.”
As WND was first to report, Abedin once reportedly represented the Muslim World League, or MWL, a Saudi-financed charity that has spawned Islamic groups accused of terror ties. One of the groups was declared by the U.S. government to be an official al-Qaida front.
Abedin has been quoted in numerous press accounts as both representing the MWL and serving as a delegate for the charity.

President Obama has a new budget and a new Treasury study that promise “tax reform.” He says that he wants to abolish “dozens of tax loopholes,” but he also proposes a boatload of new special-interest tax breaks. The president says that he wants everyone to “play by the same rules.” His tax plan does the opposite.
Serious economists know that tax reform means lower marginal tax rates, simplification and a neutral tax base that doesn’t distort investment. Those were the goals of the bipartisan Tax Reform Act of 1986 and of many reform proposals since. However, that basic understanding of tax reform has eluded the Obama administration.
I would think that our well-educated, highly resourceful politicians could fix the tax code to make it simpler and fairer to the American people.
Oh shucks…nevermind…I’m thinking out loud again.
Well, I’m not against people gathering for demonstrations in an effort to promote positive and much needed change, but this is beyond the pale.
Did they really say, “You can have sex with animals, or whatever” at this protest gathering in Zucotti Park?
“[University students] hated the hypocrisy of adult society, the rigidity of its political institutions, the impersonality of its bureaucracies. They sought to create a society that places human values before materialistic ones, that has a little less head and a little more heart, that is dominated by self-interest and loves its neighbors more. And they were persuaded that group protest of a militant nature would advance those goals.” ~ Muriel Beadle
Recently, I received a letter stating that I was pre-approved for an on-line retailer’s credit card. Immediately, my mind went into overdrive. “What the heck are you thinking, XYZ company? Do you really think I want a credit card from you, or, any other store in this economy? Shucks, NO!!!! Stop digging for that last dime that every American is trying to hold on to.”
In this economy, the average worker just doesn’t have the discretionary income for extra spending. And you’d think that he or she would be fed up with debt hanging over his or her head. But, I guess this is what the XYZ companies want. In their quest to keep the competition down, they want to keep us in debt by using predatory lending practices. Well, I refuse to go into any more debt. I’m holding on to my last dime!
