“I am thankful for small mercies. I compared notes with one of my friends who expects everything of the universe, and is disappointed when anything is less than best, and I found that I begin at the other extreme, expecting nothing, and am always full of thanks for moderate goods.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
Everyday many of us experience separation from our loved ones for various reasons. I’m sad when I can not attend a family’s party, a graduation, or even a play at my grandchildren’s school. Thankfully, I came across this prayer while reading and it reminded me of the faithfulness of God.
It’s hard for me to be separated from those who are so very special to me. I commit them to Your care. Thank You that although we may experience separation on the earth, You have prepared a place for us to all be together with You forever. Amen.
