Miles Davis solo career started in the late 1940s. However, it didn’t take off until 1954 after he overcame a heroin addiction. His greatest recording in 1959, Kind of Blue, is considered one of the “few twentieth-century American achievements in music”. A composer, arranger, producer and trumpeter, Miles was known by many as “The Picasso of Jazz”.
If you don’t think you can sit and listen to jazz, think again. Treat yourself to a musical feast in this month of February and listen to Kind of Blue. You will fall in love with music again.
