Earth Day is today. Maybe you’re celebrating it for various reasons. Hopefully, you’ve done your research and know why you’re celebrating. Do you know who started the Earth Day movement?
I’ve never done anything to celebrate, or recognize this day, until today on this post. I’ve never been moved to do anything but write this up in order to inform you, just in case you didn’t know that:
Earth Day co-founder killed, composted girlfriend… READ MORE article by Robert Knight of the Washington Times
I didn’t know that about Earth Day’s history so I thought I’ll pass this information on to you.
Many people born to be leaders and have not stepped up to the plate yet. There are many leaders whose time have come and gone.
Who will take your hand and lead you through hard times? Who will walk with you and give you a song to sing on cold winter days? Who will lead you beside still waters and speak to your soul?
“Peace, Be Still“
This Faithful Friday post is to show my appreciation to CeCe Winans for her dedication and Christian service to the Tennessee community, and the world.
CeCe will receive the Applause Award from Belmont University in Nashville, TN, Saturday night, April 21. The award is presented to a person or organization for contributions to the city’s arts community.
If you don’t know CeCe, I’ve included a video of one of my family’s favorite songs. Please enjoy! More about her below video.

What is confidence?
Where does it originate?
Why are some people apparently confident and others not?
These are questions that I have asked myself lately. I will start by saying here, now, that I don’t have answers, but I have some theories. I’d love to hear yours too, so please add your comments below, when you have read through.
A rough definition (according to Google!) is:
I am awarding gifts of appreciation to eof737 of eof737.wordpress.com for being my “TOP COMMENTER” and J. P. Gustafsson of freestylechristianity.wordpress.com for being my ”NEWEST FOLLOWER“
To best describe what their blogs are about I’ve taken an excerpt from their site to post here. I hope you enjoy reading about them and afterwards (after leaving your comments here, of course) take a few minutes to visit their blogs. Their posts are both inspiring and thought-provoking. In fact, I know you will enjoy following them so go ahead and Click Follow while you’re there.
Here is a little bit about each one, In Their Own Words:
from my TOP COMMENTER - “This is a positive kismet, motivational blog offering tips, advice, interviews, social media ruminations as well as creative, spiritual, inspirational insights on people, places, and the events that shape our lives. My wish is that this site will welcome, inform, and encourage you to connect and contribute to the ever growing online community and conversations. ~ eof737
from my NEWEST FOLLOWER - “‘Freestyle Christianity’ is an attempt to create a space where I can think theologically, critically and progressively on matters like religion, politics and culture. The primary aim is not to write lengthy arguments but rather to provide short, introductory comments. My hope is that this approach will engage you as a reader to partake in various discussions and bring your insights into the ‘conversation’”. ~ J. P. Gustafsson
Now, it’s time for the awards and gifts >
They had been engaged in a lengthy chitchat for about an hour now. They talked mostly about work, home life, parenting advice, and their children. It was nothing new that time passed so quickly. They had been good friends for many years, they even wore the same size clothes.
But this chitchat was different. Kathy had started noticing signs of teen-age rebellion from her son. It troubled her because he was still a pre-teen, shy of one year. She trusted her friend for help and advice for the problems she assumed she’d face one day soon.
Kathy’s son was basically a good guy. He wasn’t a problem in school beyond just being a little boy and doing what little boys do. As he got older, he played sports and began noticing girls. And he didn’t like keeping his room tidied up. So he was pretty much like other boys his age. No big concerns, until he wanted to go to the neighbor’s house and hang out with them. Then he’d come home and test Kathy by seeing what he could get away with.
